"I would highly recommend considering coverage elsewhere. Speaking as a 7+ yr loyal customer this agency (Clyde, Ms. Pearlee and staff) was always very friendly and nice to work with. They covered my home and auto. They were very nice, that's until I had to file a homeowners claim for my roof and privacy fence that was blown down in a series of bad storms (the news even reported the tropical storm rated wind gusts). When the adjustor came out I soon received a letter informing me that they wouldn't be covering my fence or roof. Shocked, I called the number listed and was advised that "although no rot was visibly discovered" the fence had to have rot already to blow over. REALLY?? I reminded them that even the news was reporting the tropical storm rated winds we had been seeing in the series of hail storms. They then went on to tell me that they were not able to find enough hail damage to cover my roof repairs needed. This obviously came as a complete surprise as all of the storms had been big discussions on the news and was only one series of multiple hail storms we had seen over the past 12 - 18 months in my area. "Literally all four" of my direct neighbors and multiple others on my street (with different insurance companies) got their roofs replaced within a 3 - 6 month period following these storms. Every adjustor (different from different companies) that came out to inspect my neighbors roofs told me that I had worse hail damage to my roof than their customers roof that they approved for replacement. When I reached our to Clydes (State Farm) office they said they were sorry but there is nothing they could do as all their claims were handled through corporate. They were very cold and short with me. Almost as if it was a different staff than the "Pearlee, Clyde, and team" that had always been so friendly and nice that I had been making my payments to for the past 7+ years. Needless to say, I'm now with another company and I'm telling everyone I can about this SF experience in hopes that they don't go through this with them as I experienced."
